Help Desk (Q&A)
What is God's plan?
Gods plan for the human race can be summed up in a couple of verses.
2PE 3:9 "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."
JOH 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
JOH 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."
Tragically, many chose to ignore God and the sacrifice of His Son. For those who accept His gift, God has a second plan after salvation. We can find it in the 8th Chapter of Romans.
ROM 8:28 "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
ROM 8:29 "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;"
ROM 8:30 "and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. "
Although Gods plans may differ in scope and magnitude for His children, His ultimate plan for the child of God is to mold them into the image of Christ. This is a day by day life long process that will one day culminate in our glorification. He is the potter, we are the clay.
1JO 3:2 "Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is."
