Where did Cain get his wife?
member.jpg
Let's read Genesis 3:20- And Adam called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. Then we move on to Genesis 5:2-4 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them mankind in the day they were created. And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters. You see Cain's wife was his sister!

People often ask this question because the Bible goes from talking about Adam and Eve to their sons Cain and Abel. And then the Bible talks about the Family of Cain in Genesis 4. So naturally people wonder, well if there was only Adam,Eve,Abel, and Cain then how come after Cain killed Abel he was worried for his life? And where did he find his wife that you'll read about in v17. I urge you to move from chapter 4 of Genesis to chapter 5 which discusses the family of Adam in more detail. Adam lived for 930 years. The Bible simply states that he had sons and daughters! Some people have estimated that Adam could have lived to see over one million of his descendants before his death!

And if you think Cain marring his sister is unbelievable, consider Adam he married his Rib!
