Is abortion bad?
Is abortion bad? Is abortion legal? Is abortion a sin? These are just a few of the many questions people are asking. Whether it is the politicians or an expectant mother, everyone wants to know. The U.S. courts have declared that any female-regardless of age, with or without her parents' consent and sometimes even without their knowledge-has the legal right to have an abortion. Consequently, thousands of girls every year choose abortion to avoid the embarrassment of an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy. More than 26 million women have chosen abortion since the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade. You've heard many people argue that the fetus is not actually a human being, but simply just a piece of tissue that can be discarded at any time.
The Bible makes many references to the unborn fetus. One such instance is Psalms 139:13-18.
(13)For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
(14)I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
(15)My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
(16)your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
(17)How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
(18)Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

When I read these few verses, the answer of whether or not abortion is right or wrong is made clear to me as a Christian. It is wrong. God has already planned every day of our lives. So is it right to take the life of the unborn?
