Is it God
Talking To Me? How Do I Know?
Yes, God is always leading, speaking, intervening, protecting and guiding even when we are not aware of His presence. Psychologist refer to this leading as our "conscience," but the Word of God tells us it is The Spirit of the Inner Man (Ephesians 4:16). You will see in Genesis 1:1-28, that God spoke to form the universe and create man in His image. God is a spirit and man was created to communicate with God spirit being to spirit being (John 4:24). When Jesus came into the earth realm He was the Word of God manifested (John 1:1-15) and we are blessed to have God's Word in the form of the Holy Bible which gives us direct contact to God's will and voice at anytime. Jesus tells us in John 10:45 that His sheep know His voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow and we have a helper to lead and guide us (John 16:5-16). If you have made Jesus the Lord of your life, you are a part of His sheepfold and should be able to hear His voice. Hearing the voice of Jesus should become as real to you as hearing the voice of your spouse or best friend. The Word of God tells us to seek the Lord while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6) and seeking Him daily has to be a deliberate action. Hearing God speak to you will require you being in a position to hear from Him. Train yourself to keep an opened channel with God. Below you will find a few suggestions to get you started. Once you put a routine in place you will run to be in the "presence" of the Father.
